Product Description

About Coral Food Coral Food gives (directly or indirectly) highly nutritional particles ranging in size from 5 - 150 micron and dissolved natural polymeric and monomeric nutrients. When dosed according to the instructions corals will have sufficient food to thrive without polluting the water. The organic load caused by this supplement is comparable to what is found in pristine seawater. This food is also ideal for sponges, tunicates, feather duster worms and many other organisms. Coral Food tries to replicate replicate most of the food found in nature where the corals thrive. About feeding corals Soft, leather and hard corals and many other organisms are highly capable in catching food particles. But then the particle size must be within a certain range and it should signal the organisms that this is what they are waiting for. That is, it has the nutrients they require. Another way in which corals can obtain nutrients is through their tissue. Such nutrients must meet several criteria otherwise they will not be transported through the tissue or will pollute the water heavily. All the nutrients obtained by the above described ways are used for growth and energy. This energy is used to carry out important biological processes resulting in well-being of the corals and other organisms. Some corals obtain a part of the food from the symbiotic algae but additional feeding on a regular basis with foods described above shows major improvements in time. The food they obtain by catching and by transport through their tissue contains fatty acids, vitamins, polymeric carbohydrates, proteins with a proper amino acid composition and some trace minerals bound to the proteins and carbohydrates. Coral Food contains similar substances. Directions: Shake before use. Regular maintenance:
Dose 5 ml per 200 liters (50 gallons) daily. It has been properly preserved with naturally occurring substances. Refrigeration is not required.
Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes rinse with plenty of water. Only for aquarium-hobby use. Not for human consumption (directly or indirectly)!
