Product Description

INCLUDES 2 x HYDRA 32HD LIGHTS AND MOUNTS IN BLACK AND D-D JUMPGUARD

INNOVATIVE DESIGN BY D-D

AQUARIUM

Built in low iron high clarity glass, the aquarium features a brace less design producing a clean and modern display with easy access for maintenance tasks. A standard weir box can become an unattractive focal point in any aquarium, dictating aquascaping to try and hide it and interrupting flow patterns inside the tank. With this in mind the invisible weir box of the PRO-Reef models has been carefully designed to minimise intrusion into the aquarium whilst exceeding the functionality found in most aquariums.

CABINET

The PRO-Reef cabinet is designed to be tall to perfectly balance the aquarium and comes pre-assembled, designed and built by D-D in the U.K to ensure a consistent high quality and an extremely strong cabinet. The top, bottom and main structural uprights of the cabinet are made of 36mm waterproof board providing rigidity, excellent load bearing properties, giving the impression of a piece of furniture rather than just another tank cabinet.

The tall cabinet provides good headroom for the use of taller equipment and ease of maintenance. When installing an aquarium it is of the upmost importance to provide a level base, unlevelled cabinets can stress the glass and can result in an uneven water level in the aquarium. The D-D aquarium cabinet design includes heavy duty adjustable feet allowing for accurate leveling of the cabinet and aquarium.

SUMP

There are as many ideas about sump design as there are hobbyists. D-D have many decades of experience in designing, building and running large successful aquariums and have combined this knowledge to produce what they believe is the perfect sump layout for the space available.

The ultra-quiet twin pipe weir system is further refined at the sump level by including a section whereby the pipes are completely submerged resulting in a silent water return into the sump with no splashing or gurgling.

The water from that section overflows through twin filter socks which incorporate a diffused silencer plate to silence any water noise. From there the filtered water flows into two large equipment compartments. These chambers can both hold equipment such as skimmers, media reactors, calcium reactors etc. or you can use one chamber as a refugium with caulerpa/cheato. Here again there is flexibility to alternate these sections for those who prefer to skim before or skim after the refugeum.

The final section is a generous sized return pump compartment which sits beside the integrated water top off reservoir located to the side of the sump

Hydra 32HD Lighting

HOW DO YOU MAKE THE MOST POPULAR AQUARIUM LIGHT EVEN BETTER?

The Hydra 32HD is now sleeker, thinner and continues to build on AquaIllumination’s proven record for manufacturing world-class aquarium LED lighting. This model brings an increased level of control and performance for lights in its class and with a maximum of 90W, offers high power whilst following in the family’s footsteps for energy efficiency. The spread from this light is perfect for up to 24 x 24 inch aquariums or can be used in multiples on larger systems.

By introducing the HYDRA 32HD, with even more LED’s better colour mixing, wider spread, more colour, more compact, more water resistant, and more refined, all without sacrificing anything that made the 26HD, great. Aquaillumination has always listened to the feedback from hobbyist, retailers and aquaculture facilities. As time goes on, they continue to shape their lighting products to meet and exceed the expectations of the community, for better performance, greater reliability and improved ease of use, understanding that to be your first choice for aquarium lighting they must always be delivering the best value in performance, features and support.

Improved features

• More LEDS
• More PAR
• More Spread
• Improved Optic Design
• Improved Water Resistance
• Thinner Profile
• Dedicated Moonlight Channel
• Wider Spectrum (channels)
• Easier and Faster to Connect to MyAi app

Redesigning the plastics in the Hydra line-up has resulted in two major benefits: greater efficiency and better aesthetics. Efficiency improvements reduce the demands for active cooling resulting in longer component life, and by reducing the profile depth has enhanced the presence of the light over the aquarium.

Water resistance is a major benefit in aquarium lighting - and while the new Hydras are not waterproof, design improvements should make them more resilient to accidental splashing and environmental moisture.

Output in terms of PAR, color mixing and spread are all improved with the new fixtures. The incorporation of more LEDS results in a more complete full spectrum and TIR lenses which shape the light to its most efficient and effective result in both more colour POP as well as a slightly wider output area. LED placement and lens geometry blend the light from the clusters so that colour separation is further reduced. A dedicated moonlight LED and channel has been added in the new Hydra 32HD fixtures. This allows for independent moonlighting programmes that will deliver the desired aesthetic without needing to be a part of your primary schedule or risking over exposure for your livestock.

HYPERDRIVE TECHNOLOGY

When HyperdriveTM HD Technology was introduce with the previous generation of AI lights it revolutionised the way that the LED colours could be controlled, bringing more power and colour where you want it for your corals and fishes, plus the freedom to use your smartphone or mobile device as a controller. This unique innovation in aquarium lighting still leads the way and allows you to direct power from the LED colours you have turned down to use with the colours you want to turn up, providing you with access to the maximum power output of your light, regardless of your choice of spectrum and creating the most vivid colours in your tank you have ever seen. By coupling HD technology with the latest TIR colour blending lenses we can direct all of the light into the aquarium, exactly where it is needed, providing optimum PAR with minimal light loss or annoying glare for the observer.

..... Brilliantly Simple and Brighter than Bright.

SIMPLE BUILT-IN CONTROL

Control on the lights will use the existing myAi app which is free, simple and very quick to program offering onsite direct BLE connection through your smart mobile device. Additional control options may become available for the new generation Hydras over time.

D-D Jumpguard

There is nothing worse than coming down in the morning to finding your favourite fish lying dead and crispy on the carpet. Many fish, especially wrasse, have a tendency to jump from the tank when frightened or chased by another fish and so a solution to preventing the loss of such fish should be high on every fish keepers priority list.D-D Jumpguard covers are a very lightweight, sleek, low visual impact and easy to construct screen cover suitable for most aquarium types, specifically designed to prevent fish loss due to jumping whilst maintaining high light penetration. The new Jumpguard Pro now includes cutout and brace bar parts as standard and an aesthetic black mesh.

Included in the kit

The Jumpguard Pro Aquarium Cover is a kit of parts which allows the aquarist to create a custom frame for their specific aquarium. The rigid corners and extruded aluminium section create a very solid frame which sits neatly inside glass of the aquarium glass, resting on the top lip.

Kit Contents:
  • 4 x Aluminium frame sections
  • 4 x Plastic corners
  • 2 x Plastic handles
  • 1 x Length of rubber spline
  • 1 x Sheet of black mesh
  • 1 x Spline roller tool
  • 1 x Instruction manual
  • 2 x Reverse corners to form flexi-cutout
  • 1 x Brace bar
NEW PROFILE DESIGN
The special extruded aluminium profile is now shaped with a lip which sits directly onto the edge of the glass, removing the requirement for any additional clips or brackets. The section is extruded then powder coated in a tough, low sheen, black finish for greater scratch resistance and greater aesthetics.

SPECIAL CORNERS INTEGRATE WITH SILICONE JOINTS
The lower section of the corners is specifically designed so that it does not interfere with the silicone bead in the corners of your tank which gives a tight fit to the glass with no gaps. It also makes it easier and neater to cut off the corner if you want to bring wires out at the back of the tank for pumps and heaters.

NEW BLACK MESH WITH MAXIMUM LIGHT PENETRATION
For those concerned with loss of light penetration into your reef tanks, we tested light levels with a Apogee MQ-200 meter and got the following results:
PAR without cover around 390 - 400 • PAR with cover around 380 - 390 • Approximately a 2.5% reduction in light with no shadowing at all.
