A Unique Aquatic Centrepiece for an Exclusive Mayfair Venue

This unique Mayfair aquarium forms part of the bar, creating a striking focal point filled with over 100 tropical fish. Designed around the concept of ‘Mount Fiji on a Beach’, the system connects to a dedicated basement filtration room, allowing discreet maintenance during our twice-weekly visits.

Design

Designed in close collaboration with the interior designer, this unique aquarium forms an integral part of the bar at an exclusive Mayfair venue. The concept, inspired by ‘Mount Fiji on a Beach’, combines a dramatic central aquascape with open swimming space for over 100 tropical fish. Positioned just 300mm from the floor, the aquarium creates a striking visual connection across the venue while allowing guests to see cocktails being prepared and served behind it.

Install

With the aquarium positioned just 300mm above floor level, the installation required careful planning to keep all technical equipment out of sight. Pipework was routed from the aquarium to a dedicated filtration room in the basement, where a custom sump and water-change system were installed. This keeps the main bar area clean and uncluttered while providing easy access to the system behind the scenes.

Maintenance

The aquarium is maintained twice a week to keep the water clear, the fish healthy and the display looking its best. Most servicing takes place discreetly in the dedicated basement filtration room, where our technicians can access the sump, filtration and water-change system without disrupting the venue or bar area.
