Equilibrium™ is expertly formulated to establish the ideal mineral content in planted aquariums, ensuring a balanced and healthy environment for aquatic plants. Free from sodium and chloride—which can be harmful at elevated levels—this supplement is perfectly suited for use with reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or any mineral-deficient water. By increasing the essential mineral and electrolyte content, specifically General Hardness (GH), Equilibrium™ promotes stability alongside carbonate hardness (KH), which supports overall water chemistry balance. To maintain optimal KH levels, pairing with Alkaline Buffer™ is recommended.

Directions: To raise mineral content or GH by 1 meq/L (3 dH), add 16 g (approximately 1 tablespoon) per 80 liters (20 gallons) of water when setting up your aquarium or during water changes. For best solubility, mix Equilibrium™ with about 1 liter (1 quart) of water before adding it to the aquarium. This mixture may cause a slight haze that typically clears within 15–30 minutes. Note that Equilibrium™ should not be used to replace evaporated water. Since dosing is based on DI or RO water, it's advisable to measure your water's hardness first and adjust accordingly. While plant preferences vary, a general guideline is maintaining 1–2 meq/L (3–6 dH) GH and matching the carbonate hardness (KH) within the same range for optimal plant growth.

Product Insights: Equilibrium™ does not introduce chlorides; its mineral balance is primarily derived from sulfates and water of hydration. It contains no phosphates or nitrogenous pollutants such as ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate, making it safe for preventing unwanted algae blooms. Currently, there is no liquid version of this supplement, emphasizing its concentrated and effective powder form designed specifically for planted aquarium conditioning.
