The Kangaroo Paw Foot fern is so called because of its furry rhizomes that snake over the surface of the soil and hang down. In nature it grows as an epiphyte, with the rhizomes attaching it firmly to a rock or branch. In the terrarium it will need some support until the rhizomes have attached. If you want to grow this species terrestrially then provide a moist, rich soil that does not dry out but ensure the plant does not become waterlogged. Kangaroo Paw Ferns dislike bright light and are easily scorched so they must be positioned carefully to look their best.
