Important Note on Accuracy
Please note that the calculated salt requirements are intended as guidelines. Minor adjustments may be necessary due to natural variations in salt mix moisture content and the influence of water temperature on salinity readings.
For the most reliable results, always heat your RO or RO/DI water to 75–78°F (24–26°C) prior to mixing. Use a refractometer—preferably calibrated with a marine standard—to verify salinity levels. Add salt gradually, in small increments, to the entire water volume being prepared, and adjust as needed until your desired salinity is achieved.
For optimal precision, we recommend weighing the salt mix with digital scales rather than measuring by volume.
