To achieve a salinity level of 32-35 ‰ (psu), dissolve approximately 35 ml of this sea salt per liter (or about ½ cup per US gallon) of RO/DI water at 73-77 °F (23-25 °C), stirring continuously. Always add the salt to the water to prevent calcium carbonate precipitation. When nearly all salt is dissolved, measure specific gravity with a hydrometer and adjust by adding small amounts of salt until reaching a specific gravity between 1.025 and 1.027 and a pH of 8.0–8.4. Slight cloudiness during dissolution is normal and indicates bio-active substances activating.

After setting up a new aquarium, allow a few weeks of circulation and proper lighting to establish a biologically stable environment suitable for delicate marine organisms.
