Have Questions About Zoas?

We have answers. Get quick help for common questions.

1. Are zoanthids easy to keep?
Yes. Zoanthids (zoas) are among the most popular beginner corals. They're hardy, grow well and come in a huge range of colours.
3. Do zoas need feeding?
They get most of their energy from light but appreciate occasional feeding with a fine coral food.
5. Why are my zoas not opening?
Common causes are a change in water parameters, pests such as zoa-eating nudibranchs or spiders, or too much or too little light. Test your water and check the colony closely.
2. What light and flow do zoas need?
Most zoas do well under moderate light and moderate flow. Start them lower in the tank and move them up gradually if colours look washed out or polyps stay closed.
4. Are zoanthids safe to handle?
Some zoanthids contain palytoxin, which can be harmful. Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling them, and wash your hands afterwards.

Good to know

Why are some points pending?

Purchase points have an approval period before they become available. Your balance shows available points separately from pending points.

How long do my points last?

When points expiry applies, your balance stays valid for 365 days from qualifying rewards activity. Earning eligible rewards, redeeming points or a balance adjustment renews that window. Simply visiting the shop does not renew it.

Can I use points with my stamp reward?

Yes. Add your 10% stamp reward code at checkout and switch on your points. Your final saving depends on the eligible product total and any other discount restrictions.

What happens if I return something?

Earned points are adjusted for returns. Points used on refunded products are restored proportionally. If a refund takes a qualifying order below £250, its stamp is removed.
