These cute starfish are rarely seen within the trade. They are around 3-7cm in diameter and have marbled patterning on their backs which can be green, purple or maroon. These starfish spend most of their time eating algae that grows on our tank walls but it is also thought that they will eat sea squirts, bryozoan and sponges. They are not 100% reef safe and should not be kept with corals. They are ideal inhabitants for refugiums
