Phytoplankton are the base of marine ecosystems, providing essential nutrients to corals, larvae, and zooplankton. They typically contain 20–40% protein, 10–25% lipids, and valuable omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA, supporting tissue growth, coloration, and immune function. Species such as Isochrysis, Nannochloropsis, and Tetraselmis are especially rich in HUFAs and pigments, helping drive coral health and vibrant colour. Phytoplankton also contribute vitamins, amino acids, and trace minerals (e.g., nitrogen, phosphorus), which sustain coral metabolism and skeletal development. Regular dosing maintains reef stability and fuels zooplankton growth, indirectly supporting fish and invertebrates.
Dosage instructions
Heaviest dose: 10 ml per 100 L. Start at ½ dose and build over 2–3 weeks. Shake well before use
Dose programme: Week 1: 1 ml/100 L/day → Week 2: 2 ml/day → Week 3: 3 ml/day → Week 4: 4 ml/day (baseline).
From week 4, increase by 1 ml weekly until desired zooplankton production.
