The patented Wavereef Hybrid skimmer with built in UV is a great concept combining the skimmer and UV into one unit therefore saving you space in the sump area. The unit features a sine wave DC pump so noise levels are kept to a minimum. The high output UV will kill any bacteria, algae and protozoa present in the water.
The skimmer is equipped with a sensor in the collection cup when the cup becomes full this reduces power to the skimmer by around 40% keeping the UV running whilst preventing the skimmer cup from overflowing.
