Raised phosphate in yoru aquarium can lead to increased algae growth and may inhibit the ability of corals and other calcium secreting organisms to synthesis calcium carbonate.
Ideally, phosphate concentrate should not exceed 0.4mg/l in a freshwater aquarium, and 0.2mg/l in a saltwater tank.
Charterhouse PHOS is a highly efficient phosphate binder that will reliably remove phosphates & silicates from both fresh and saltwater.
Use approximately 100ml of PHOS media for every 100l of aquarium water. Rinse well before use.
The level of phosphate present will dictate how long the media takes to be fully exhausted. The lower the phosphate, the longer it lasts!
