An established favourite from the U.S., the Poly-Filter Standard (8" x 4") is now available once more. As both a mechanical and chemical filter media, it offers an exceptional solution for achieving superior water quality and clarity in your aquarium.

Aquarium water can accumulate various chemical products and pollutants over time, including those present in tap water. Poly-Filter effectively removes:

  • Proteins and Amino Acids
  • Nitrite, Nitrate, and Ammonia
  • Phosphates (principal cause of algae)
  • Toxic Metals

As the filter captures these pollutants, its colour changes, indicating when it needs replacement. Once it turns black, it's time to switch it out. Notably, once saturated, Poly-Filter does not release any hazardous substances back into the aquarium, unlike some other filter media.

While removing undesirable chemicals, Poly-Filter does not extract essential trace elements or soften the water, making it ideal for both marine and freshwater aquariums. It is easily customisable to fit any filter chamber and can even be used in small environments like goldfish bowls or Betta aquaria by simply cutting it to the required size.

Achieve sparkling, crystal-clear water with Poly-Filter!

Features:

  • Efficient removal of harmful chemicals
  • Colour-change indicator for replacement
  • Prevent re-release of filtered pollutants
  • Suitable for both marine and freshwater aquariums
  • Customisable to fit any filter chamber

Polyfilter will change colour to indicate what contaminants have been removed from your aquarium, including:

Blue – Copper Salts
Blue-Green – Ionic Copper
Greenish Yellow – Ammonia/Ammonium
Orange – Iron
Red – Aluminium
Black – Heavy Organics
Yellow – Lead
